Indonesian Students Interviewed by High school students
Three students and a teacher from Kofu First High School visited the Kofu campus to interview with three of our Indonesian students about the popular Japanese food in Indonesia on Thursday, Nov. 10th.
The Kofu First High School was appointed as “Super Global High School” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and as a part of its activity, these three students launched the project “Smile for Indonesian people by introducing Peach of Yamanashi prefecture”.
They made a trial product, a new type of Japanese cake containing peaches which Yamanashi is famous for, in cooperation with a local Japanese confectionery. The Indonesian students tasted it to comment on the taste and other aspects for the sales opportunities in Indonesia.
The interview topics were extended to the differences of food culture between Indonesia and Japan. This opportunity resulted in a fruitful learning experience for both sides.
