Crime Prevention Lecture for International Students
On Tuesday 20 June 2023, a crime prevention lecture for international students was held at the Kofu Campus, organized by the Centre for the Promotion of Internationalization and the International Office. About 40 international students attended the lecture.
This event is held every year with the cooperation of the Kofu Police Station to ensure that international students can lead a safe student life without being involved in any incidents, accidents, or crimes. Due to the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the lecture was held face-to-face for the first time in three years.
Three members of the police station were invited to give a lecture, with English translations, on what to do in the event of a traffic accident or trouble. They reminded international students that even in Japan, which has the image of a safe country, they need to be very careful not to get involved in crime.
