International students participated in the kick-off event of the international exchange “World Forest Yamanashi” organized by Yamanashi Prefecture

On October 19, 2023, 11 international students from our university were invited to Yamanashi Prefecture to participate in the “International Exchange ‘World Yamanashi’ Kick-off Event.

This event was a kick-off for establishing “International Exchange ‘World Forest Yamanashi'”, an area for commemorative tree planting in Narusawa Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
The event was attended by about 250 people, including ambassadors from 40 countries and international students in the Yamanashi Prefecture.
The day of the event was blessed with clear skies, and our students enjoyed planting trees with the other participants at the National Tree Planting Festival Memorial Plaza, where they could see Mt. Fuji up close.
