Prof. Dr. Gregor Majdic, President of University of Ljubljana and Prof. Dr. Bostjan Golob, President of University of Nova Gorica visited University of Yamanashi

　On April 2, 2024, Prof. Dr. Gregor Majdic, President of University of Ljubljana and Prof. Dr.　Bostjan Golob, President of University of Nova Gorica visited University of Yamanashi for promoting the collaborations between university of Yamanashi and the two universities. ?The presidents visited our university’s advanced research facilities, including the glial cell research center and neurophysiology research lab, as well as the affiliated hospital.?
　University of Yamanashi and University of Ljubljana have been conducting academic exchanges actively since the two universities signed exchange agreement in 2017. Collaboration with University of Nova Gorica have also been conducted mainly through wine research.
　Both presidents were warmly welcomed by President Kazuhiko Nakamura, Executive Director Toru Okuda (in charge of teaching and learning), Executive Director Xiaoyang Mao (in charge of global promotion), Vice-President Masaru Iwasaki (in charge of global promotion) and Hiromitsu Nishizaki, Director of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization. At the meeting, President Nakamura expressed his hope for increased interaction among students and faculty members. He emphasized that this would contribute not only to enhancing educational and research collaborations between the two universities but also to boosting exchange programs.
　The visit reinforced the ties among the three universities. It is anticipated that this will enhance future exchanges between the University of Ljubljana, University of Nova Gorica, and University of Yamanashi.
