A Lecture on“Living Safely and Securely in Japan” for International Students
A lecture by Kofu police on “Living Safely and Securely in Japan” for international students was held at Kofu campus on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
This lecture is held every year with the cooperation of the Kofu Police department to ensure that international students can live their student life in Japan safely without being involved in any incidents, accidents, or crimes.
The lecture covered a wide range of topics, including theft, molestation, illegal drugs, traffic rules, and how to deal with traffic accidents and troubles. In particular, the police officer carefully explained the traffic rules for bicycles, which many international students use, using a video. He reminded international students that even in Japan, which has the image of a safe country, it is necessary to be very careful to avoid getting involved in incidents and accidents.
After a lecture by the Kofu Police Department, a staff of the Kofu City Hall talked about “KoRyu Net”, a community for international students in Kofu City, where they can get useful information on disaster prevention and events in their daily lives etc. Attended international students joined the community to get the information they needed to make their lives more convenient.
