Mr. Soichiro Hirai and Ms. Yadpiroon Siri, second-year doctoral course students of Environmental and Social System Science Course in Department of Engineering (supervisor: Prof. Eiji Haramoto, Interdisciplinary Center for River Basin Environment), received the WET Excellent Presentation Award at the international conference “Water and Environment Technology Conference 2025 (WET2025)” held at the City Hall Plaza A?re Nagaoka on July 5-6, 2025. The award is given to outstanding presentations that are worthy of research encouragement, and this year, 26 winners received the award out of 216 presenters.

?Name: Soichiro Hirai (2nd-year doctoral student of River Basin Environmental Science Major, Environmental and Social System Science Course, Department of Engineering)
?Presentation title: Development of a method for the rapid and simultaneous detection of antibiotic resistance genes in wastewater using a portable quantitative PCR device
?Message: I am greatly honored to receive the Excellent Presentation Award. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Haramoto for his invaluable guidance, as well as to my junior colleagues, all our lab members, and GO!FOTON, Inc. for their dedicated support throughout this research. I will reflect on the feedback received during my presentation and continue striving to contribute meaningfully to the field of water and environmental research.
