Associate Prof. Geraldine Larguier, Director of the Institute of French Studies for Foreign Students at the University of Pau visited the University of Yamanashi
On April 23, 2024, Associate Professor Geraldine Larguier, Director of the Institute of French Studies for Foreign Students at the University of Pau, visited the University of Yamanashi.
The University of Pau and the University of Yamanashi signed an inter-university exchange agreement in June 2018, facilitating student and faculty exchanges and collaborative research.
Furthermore, Pau, where the University of Pau is located, is also a sister city of Kofu. The purpose of this visit was to facilitate discussions on proposals for language-based partnerships between the two universities and to further exchange ideas for collaboration.
Associate Professor Geraldine Larguier visited the Satoshi Omura Museum to learn about Dr. Omura’s achievements and the history of our university. Afterward, she then visited the English Café held during lunchtime in G-philos, where Japanese and international students learn from each other.
During a discussion with Executive Director Xiaoyang Mao (in charge of global promotion), Professor Hiromitsu Nishizaki (Director of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization), and Assistant Professor Takeshi Nunomura, views were exchanged on further student exchanges in the future.
This visit will enhance future exchanges between the University of Pau and the University of Yamanashi.
