〔English〕
?Hello! I’m HUANG PO LUN, a foreign student from Taiwan.
?I major in Mechtronics Engineering Department in the master course of the graduate school of University of Yamanashi.
?I would like to introduce “Ampopo”, a club that foreign students and Japanese students play basketball together, as a student public relations staff.
?This is a diary about my daily life in Japan.

?“Ampopo” is a basketball club that club members usually play basketball in the school’s gym on weekends. It was created by a teacher in “G-Philos” who invited me 2 years ago, and many students who like to play basketball were gathered to participate in this basketball club. At first, there were only 3 people (A foreign student from Malaysia, a Japanese student from Hakodate and I) in this club. However, there are 63 people now. Moreover, there are some features in this club.

  • There are not only many foreign students, but also many Japanese students.
  • If you are interested in basketball, you are also welcome to participate in this club although you are not good at playing basketball.
  • You can get some advice about learning or future careers because club members are from many different departments.
  • Teachers or other basketball clubs sometimes participate in this club, so we sometimes play competitions together, and you can feel like playing in “FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur)”.

?There are accounts of “Ampopo” in LINE and Instagram. Please feel free to contact us and participate in “Ampopo”!
