The Faculty of Economics from Khon Kaen University in Thailand visited University of Yamanashi

? On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2024, 22 members of the Faculty of Economics from Khon Kaen University in Thailand visited University of Yamanashi. Khon Kaen University and University of Yamanashi have an inter-university exchange agreement, facilitating student and faculty exchanges and collaborative research. The purpose of this visit was to further deepen exchanges through observation and exchange of opinions on career guidance and job placement support, as well as a demonstration of AI and AR technology in smart agriculture at University of Yamanashi.

? After an explanation of the university’s features by Prof. Hiromitsu Nishizaki, Director of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization, Prof. Kazumi Yamamoto, Specially Appointed Professor of the Career Centre, gave an introduction to career education and career support at the university. This was followed by a lively exchange of views on the differences between career education in Thailand and Japan and how to approach students, with Assistant Prof. Takeshi Nunomura, the Center for Promotion of Internationalization. Afterward, Executive Director Mao Xiaoyang (in charge of global promotion) explained and demonstrated AI and AR technology. Through this visit, further exchanges between the two universities are expected to be promoted in the future.
